Here are some entries from our Guest Book we had on our previous website. Please see what messages our ex-students sent to us.
We created a topic for it in our Forum on our new website to keep in touch with our ex-students on this way from now on.
We hope it will be just as popular as our Guest Book has been before.

Hey Stevin, how are you? I really hope you are fine and the school is running well! After all the time (I can´t believe it but its more than a year ago since my stay in Cape Town) I thought it would be great to stay in contact and in addition it may be interessting for you to get feedback from your former students ;-) My stay in your School and in this wonderful country awoke my interest in South Africa. Therefore i decided to write my bachelor thesis in Anthropology about a subject that is connected with SA ( I chose: The trace of the colonial past in the Diskurs about AIDS in postapartheid South Africa.) Because this subject is kind of specific and it isn\'t easy to find books in german, all my books are in english. So you see I still try to practice the language ;-) So, reading books about South Africa is what I am doing all day long at the moment and therefore I think a lot about the time in Cape Town and your School. I wanted to thank you and your school again for enabling (is this correct? It sounds strange) me to read more complicated books like this and to arouse my interest for your country. Hopfully I can come back to Cape Town \'cause I still miss it a lot! All the best, Sarah

Subject: Greetings from London Dear Stevin, I hope you are doing well! It is now exactly one year ago that I attended a four week English crash course at SASE and I still think back to the great time I had in South Africa almost every day. Only three months thereafter (July 2007) I successfully applied for a finance job with KPMG in London and I really believe that practicing my (spoken) English at your school and in this wonderful country, respectively, played a very important role for this success. Although attending a language school for four weeks might not be sufficient to become fluent in a foreign language, however, it definitely made me feel more relaxed and confident when dealing with any issues in English. Thus, I would like to say thank you once again today. You and all your staff did a really great job and what I was impressed by most was the enthusiasm you taught us with (not only as to the language but also regarding the history of your country). Keep on running your business as professionally as I can remember it and I am convinced that all your dreams you told us about will come true shortly! I wish you, your school and last but not least your fascinating country all the best! Kindest regards, Goetz

Hello everyone, I am writing almost compulsorily, however it is a huge pleasant to do it. I passed here in South Africa and particularly in this school. I just would like to say thanks for everyone here who helped me to get better and helped me to improve my dirty poor English. There is nothing more reward than the feeling to have a home out of your country which you can have support whenever you need. Moreover, SASE assured that I had such a lovely time that I would like to stay longer and longer just to keep living this wonderful life style with these brothering people as Stevin, Kata, Bruce, Sophie and all the crew in this School. Thanks for everything I will always be glad.

Hello all together, I am writing to you to wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will take this opportunity to say thank you for my great 9 weeks in Cape Town. At first, I want say a lot of thanks to Olga. She was helping me so much and the SASE without her would be unimaginable. Than I want thanks to all of my teachers who was helping me to improve my English. I find it very hard to study a foreign language and when I arrived in Cape Town, I was not able to speak English. At last, I say thank you to Stevin and Bruce for all what you have done for me. I will never ever forget one of you and I left Cape Town with a heavy heard. I hope I will get off days soon that I am able to travelling to South Africa again to discuss my plans and aims. All of you can be very proud of yourself. I wish all of you the best and I will see you next year. Andrea

Hi, my name is Mohamed,I learnt English at South African School of English(SASE). When I arrived in Cape Town I was not able to speak proper English and my aim was to take the TOEFL(test of English as a foreign language),I needed it to study at University...After a few months of preparation at SASE I took the TOEFL and the result was more than I was actually expecting,I had a very good score which allows me to study even in the United States. I would advise anybody who wants to learn English to try SASE,it is for me the best school in Cape Town because you will find there a very competent staff, and a very familiar atmosphere...I can not really describe the environment at SASE,it is AMAZING...you have to see for yourself,to experience it.The school offers a lot of services which include visiting most of the famous places in Cape Town. I can write an entire book to explain why you have to choose SASE...there are so many good reasons,if you do not live it you can not understand how it is. By the Way I want to thank SASE's staff for everything they have done for me.Thanks to the "Big Boss"!!!
