Maddy, currently busy with further studies through the University of South Africa (UNISA), holds a TEFL qualification and was previously a lecturer in secretarial studies. Her hobbies are: reading, putting on fashion shows for fund-raising, cooking and baking, writing poetry and comedy skits.
She says “I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and that is why I find my job as a teacher so interesting. My favourite music is Latin Jazz by Latin American artist, Chick Corea. I also love going to operas and listening to classical music. My favourite dances are flamenco and belly dancing even though I can’t do it myself! I also enjoy watching movies from the 40’s and 50’s because the actors from that era had more finesse and there were no special effects!”
