Long Street Turkish Baths

The baths have always been a popular haunt and were quite recently beautifully upgraded. Inside is a heated swimming pool and Turkish baths with steam and dry-heat rooms, massages are also available. The pool is very well attended at lunchtime by keep-fit enthusiasts and business people.

Hiking

The mountainous terrain around Cape Town boasts of many hiking trials with spectacular views and potential for bird-watching and cycling trails. The best hiking trails offer picturesque views, with some hiking trails covering extensive areas around Table Mountain, which can be reached either by foot or taxi from the language school. For professional hikers, Lions Head and the hike up Skeleton Gorge offer challenging yet fulfilling alternatives. Guided tours are also available on most popular trials and are recommended for people not familiar with the mountain. During the hot summer months please make sure that you have adequate sun protection, enough water and a warm jacket/pullover (should the mist suddenly set in).
